1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Rate My Professor App ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of the App

The App is an independent, unofficial mobile client that provides a convenient interface for accessing publicly available professor ratings and school information from RateMyProfessors.com. The App is developed and maintained by Eregar ("Developer," "we," "our") and operates independently from RateMyProfessors.com.

The App does not host, create, or modify any of the professor ratings, reviews, or school data displayed. All such content originates from and is owned by RateMyProfessors.com and its users.

3. No Affiliation

This App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with RateMyProfessors.com, Cheddar Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. The official RateMyProfessors.com website can be found at www.ratemyprofessors.com.

The names "Rate My Professor" and "RateMyProfessors" and any related names, marks, emblems, and images are trademarks of their respective owners. Use of these names within the App is for informational and descriptive purposes only.

4. Third-Party Content

All professor ratings, reviews, school information, and user-generated content displayed in the App are sourced from RateMyProfessors.com. This content is:

• Provided "as is" without any guarantees of accuracy, completeness, or reliability
• Subject to RateMyProfessors.com's Terms of Use and Site Guidelines
• The intellectual property of RateMyProfessors.com and/or its users

We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for any ratings, reviews, or opinions expressed in the content displayed through the App.

5. User Conduct

By using the App, you agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes
• Not use the App to harass, defame, or harm any professor, student, or institution
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Follow RateMyProfessors.com's Site Guidelines when interacting with their content through the App
• Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App

6. Premium Subscription

6.1 Subscription Terms

The App offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions managed by the Apple App Store. By subscribing:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings

6.2 Premium Features

Premium features include enhanced data analysis and visualization tools (such as grade distribution, rating trends, professor comparison, and schedule optimization) that process publicly available data. These features are provided "as is" and their availability may change.

6.3 Refunds

All subscription payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

7. Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, premium analysis features, and user interface are the property of the Developer. Third-party content displayed within the App remains the property of its respective owners, including RateMyProfessors.com and its users.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• The data displayed will be accurate, complete, or current
• The App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions
• The data source (RateMyProfessors.com) will remain available or accessible

You acknowledge that the App depends on the availability of RateMyProfessors.com and that we have no control over their services. The App may cease to function if RateMyProfessors.com changes their services or restricts access.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, ACADEMIC OUTCOMES, OR ENROLLMENT DECISIONS MADE BASED ON INFORMATION DISPLAYED IN THE APP.

You acknowledge that professor ratings and reviews are subjective opinions of individual users and should not be the sole basis for academic decisions.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Availability and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We may also restrict or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
