Terms of Use

1. These terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") cover your use of the ClassSnipe iOS app (the "App"), developed by Eregar Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, subscribing to or otherwise using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. To buy a subscription you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, or have permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.

3. What the App does

You choose your school, your courses and what matters to you, and the App ranks the professors who teach each course using publicly available student ratings and reviews. Rankings, grade distributions, trends and other figures are computed automatically from that information.

• Ratings and reviews are the opinions of individual students. We don't write, verify or endorse them, and they may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. You can report a review you think is abusive from the App.
• A ranking is a guide, not a guarantee of a grade, a workload or a seat in a class. Which professor teaches which section, and whether you can enroll, is up to your school.

Enrollment and academic decisions are yours. Check your school's official course listings.

4. Subscription, billing and renewal

The plans

The App is available with a paid, auto-renewing subscription. The plans and prices are shown in the App before you buy, in your local currency.

Payment and renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests go to Apple under its refund policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Using the App fairly

You agree to:

• use the App only for your own personal, non-commercial use;
• not scrape, copy in bulk, resell or redistribute the App or its data;
• not use bots or automated tools to access our servers, or try to get around limits or security;
• not reverse-engineer the App, except where the law allows it;
• not use it to harass, defame or harm any professor, student or school; and
• follow all laws that apply to you.

We may limit or block access for anyone who breaks these rules.

6. Intellectual property

The App's design, code, rankings and analysis are ours or our licensors'. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the App; they don't transfer any ownership.

7. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ITS DATA IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR CURRENT. The information behind the App may change or stop being available at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE AREN'T LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, ACADEMIC OUTCOMES OR ENROLLMENT DECISIONS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App or your breach of these Terms.

10. Changes and ending

We may change, suspend or discontinue the App or any part of it. We may update these Terms; we'll post the new version here with a new date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it. You can stop using the App and cancel at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
